Four Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors from the South-South region have restated their support to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate, of the party ahead of the 2023 election.
The Governors who converged in Yenagoa for a meeting were Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and PDP Vice Presidential candidate, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and host, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State.
At the end of the meeting, the Governor of Bayelsa stated on his official Facebook page reinstated that the governors have unwavering support for Atiku Abubakar.
He wrote: Today, I hosted my colleagues, Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Gov. Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom, and Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
We have restated our unwavering support to our Presidential Candidate, H.E Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 elections.
South-South states have always been fully PDP and that will not change in the election.
