As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) began its Presidentially campaign flag off in Uyo Akwa Ibom State, Five state governors and the national vice-chairman of the party in the South-South, Dan Orbih reportedly boycotted the campaign launch of the party today.
The PDP governors are reported to be Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.
It will be recalled that the said governors have been aggrieved over the party’s failure at fulfilling their demands of removing the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu.
Also as a means to press home their demand, the five governors and some other party members recently pulled out of the presidential campaign team of the party.
