APC National Convention to Hold February 2022 – Chairman Progressive Governors Forum

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved February 2022 for the conduct of the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

The Chairman of the  Forum of Progressive Governors and the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, announced this in Abuja on Monday.

He briefed State House correspondents after a meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in the nation’s capital.

Governor Bagudu was accompanied to the villa by the Chairman of the APC National Caretaker Committee and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, as well as Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State.

According to Bagudu, the governors have decided that Congress should be held in February 2022 and the same proposal has been submitted to the president for approval.

He confirmed, however,  that the leadership of this party still has to decide on a specific date for holding its national party congress.

The governor said the party will notify the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) while it is preparing a schedule.
