A 28-year-old man Shu’aibu Adamu has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing his wife by a Jigawa State High Court.
The Judge, Hon. Justice Ahmed Muhammad Abubakar said the offence of culpable homicide is punishable under Section 221(b) of the Penal Code.
Justice Ahmed in his Judgement said the prosecution counsel proved his case beyond a reasonable doubt after presenting four witnesses.
Justice Ahmad sentenced him to death by hanging.
The incident happened at Warwade town, Dutse Local government Area of Jigawa State on 24/06/2018 when the convict had a misunderstanding with his 20-year-old wife, Sahura Umar, which caused the convict to use his hoe to hit her on the head, leading to her death.
