The Governor of Rivers State Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has asked a former Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Ahmed Markafi to focus on delivering his state for the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP) in the 2023 general election and leave him alone.
Markafi had said on channels television breakfast program on Tuesday that Wike should not take any decision in anger, as he is not the only one who has supported the party”
Wike in his response to Markafi, while speaking during the commissioning of the Ogunabale Sandfield Estate in Port Harcourt Rivers State insisted that the only way the party could win the coming election is for all the leaders to go and deliver their states to the PDP
According to Wike: “No state will use another state to balance votes in the coming days election, it is going to be operation win your state”.
“Markafi was talking on the television saying Wike is not the only supporter of the party, Wike this Wike that, am in any competition with anyone on who is doing this and that more than anyone? They should leave Wike alone and focus on their states.
Markafi should ensure that he delivers Kaduna state back to the PDP, that’s what matters, I’m busy here in Rivers State, destroying all APC structures, they are there leaving their states and talking about Wike and Rivers”.
