Kogi state has been announced as the first oil-producing state in Northern Nigeria and will receive 13% derivation fund, with confirmation from Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission.
In an announcement made by the state Governor, Yahaya Bello during the EXCO meeting, he notified that the state government on Thursday received its first payment from the Federal Government’s 13% derivation account.
He assured that the State will use its status as Oil Producing State for the benefit of the good people of Kogi State.
