Lady Gaga has revealed that she actually wore a bulletproof dress to sing at President Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2020.
The 35-year-old superstar opened up about taking the extra fashion precaution in an interview with British Vogue where she spoke about the ‘fear’ she felt when Donald Trump was president.
Calling her performance at the 59th presidential inauguration ‘one of the proudest days of my whole life,’ she revealed the stunning navy and red dress she wore fashioned by Schiaparelli was ironclad.
The House of Gucci star opened up about the career-high of singing at the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States before very casually mentioning her bulletproof dress.
‘That has to be one of the proudest days of my whole life. Like many people in America, I felt a deep fear when Trump was president, and ushering 45 out and 46 in is something I’ll be able to tell my children all about.
‘Singing in a Schiaparelli bulletproof dress. I don’t know if people know this about me, but if I weren’t who I am today, I would have been a combat journalist. That was one of my dreams,’ she continued to say.
‘When I was at the Capitol, the day before the inauguration, I remember walking around and looking for evidence of the insurrection,’ the Poker Face singer added of the capitol riots on January 6.
