MAPOLY student and beauty queen, Happiness Okwa Odeh killed by Kidnappers in Ogun state

Unknown assailants suspected to be Kidnappers have abducted, raped, and killed a student of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State, identified as Happiness Okwa Udeh.

The deceased is an ND 11 student of Mass Communication who won the Miss MAPOLY beauty contest on August 3, 2022.

She was said to have been kidnapped while heading to Ipara, in Ode Remo on August 9, Tuesday evening by some gunmen who raped and killed her.

The news was confirmed by the Students Union President, MAPOLY, Sadiq Ajani in Abeokuta on August 13.

A statement signed by Ajani along with the Public Relations Officer a person of Joy Okolie makes it known that Happiness was kidnapped three days ago while going to a movie location.

“Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Students Union (MAPSU) announces the untimely death of Miss Happiness Odeh, a Mass Communication student of MAPOLY.

“According to reports, she was abducted along Iperu road to her destination. The deceased left Abeokuta three days ago to visit a movie location at Ipara, Ode-Remo, with the consent of her parents

“Contrary to the rumors flying around, her death is not related to her status as the new Miss MAPOLY. She won the award on the 3rd of August and the movie location she attended has nothing to do with the beauty pageantry on campus

“We commiserate with her family, friends, and colleagues. May Almighty God grant us all the fortitude to bear this painful loss. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord,” in the statement.

The SUG said the murderers didn’t leave Happiness’s phone. He stated that police are on an investigation to get the murderers arrested.

Ajani also said the corpse has been moved to Olabisi Onabanjo University’s Teaching Hospital Morgue, Sagamu.
