No Time to Die becomes highest-grossing film of 2021

Universals No Time to Die is officially the fastest-growing film of 2021 as well as the fastest-growing film of the pandemic era.

Domestic box office sales of $2.7 million over the weekend helped the film break the $700 million mark. At $ 729.1 million worldwide, it beats the previous highest record, F9 ($725.3 million worldwide).

To date, the film has grossed around $154 million domestically and $579 million internationally.

The feature film 25th Bond, which marks Daniel Craig’s final departure as a British super spy, opened overseas in late September after many COVID-related delays and debuted in North America, Canada and Australia in early October. The checkout numbers continued to rise and remained stable for the remainder of the month.

DanielCraig admitted that among other things, he’ll miss the collaboration of working on big franchises like Bond.

“I’ve had the privilege of being involved in it,” Craig told EW. “It was there before me, and it will be there after me. But I’ve had a chance to be part of all of this, and if you can’t get it up for a Bond movie as an actor, what can you get it up for? So, yeah, I’ll miss it a lot.”
