Bauchi and Gombe become oil producing states, as the first official crude oil is extracted from the over 1 billion barrel crude reserve in Kolmani.
A 120,000bpd refinery will be built here, along with a gas processing plant of up to 500 million standard cubic feet per day, a fertilizer plant of 2,500 tons and a 300MW gas power plant would be built in the first phase of the Kolmani Integrated Development Project.
