Sweden Parliament Elects First Female Prime Minister

The Swedish parliament on Wednesday elected Social Democratic Party leader and current finance minister Magdalena Andersson as the country’s first female prime minister after reaching a last-minute agreement that secures vital support.

Andersson will succeed outgoing Prime Minister Stefan Lofven after  117 MPs voted for her,  57 abstained and 174 voted against. it is not necessary to  have a majority against them
