World Athletics Championships: Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan smashes women’s 100m hurdles world record

Tobi Amusan became the first Nigerian athlete to win a World Athletics Championship gold as she stormed to victory in the 100m hurdles in Oregon.

She won not once but twice in the process to win gold in the women’s 100 meters hurdle.

Amusan finished the race in 12.062s beating her own record in the semi-finals

She had already made the world record in the semi-finals having run 12.12s.

Amusan became the first Nigerian athlete in history to ever set a World Record in any international event

Ese Brume also won a silver medal in the long jump silver.
